Spokeswoman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Pham Thu Hang.

Hang made the recommendation at a press briefing in Hanoi on November 21,while answering a reporter's query about the the escalating conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

Amid the intensifying violence and the potential for the conflict to expand into major cities across Ukraine, the ministry has issued critical guidelines for Vietnamese citizens and communities residing, studying, or working in Ukraine.

Accordingly, Vietnamese nationals in Ukraine are strongly encouraged to develop comprehensive safety plans. This includes preparing for possible evacuation from major cities and steering clear of high-risk areas.

Vietnamese citizens are advised to stay updated by closely following warnings of the local authorities and the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including the Consular Department and diplomatic missions abroad to make prompt actions in response to emerging developments. It is important to maintain regular contact with Vietnamese associations and the Embassy of Vietnam in Ukraine.

In emergencies, Vietnamese citizens can seek assistance through the ministry’s citizen protection hotline.
