Vietnam wants to develop stronger ties with Cambodia

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has affirmed Vietnam's wish to strengthen its relations with Cambodia on the basis of good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term stability.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on November 23 held talks with his Cambodian counterpart Hunsen on the sidelines of the 9th Summit of Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Development Triangle Area (CLV9) in Siem Reap.

The two leaders agreed on measures to promote bilateral ties in all fields and an early completion of border demarcation for peace, friendship and economic development. 

Prime Minister Phuc asked for the Cambodian government’s support in facilitating Vietnamese people in Cambodia in their legal and economic aspects. 

They concurred to cooperate closely on the celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties next year and will co-chair the inauguration ceremony of Long Binh bridge between An Giang and Chrey Thom in early 2017.
