General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong made the statement at a December 22 reception for head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Liu Qibao, who is in Vietnam to attend the 12th theory conference between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the CPC.

Trong underlined the significance of Party building and anti-corruption to each Party in the current international integration and suggested Vietnamese and Chinese party officials should share practical experience in Party building and the fight against corruption. 

"It is essential to maintain regular high-level meetings and increase cooperation in a broad array of fields and exchanges and among Party agencies, ministries, sectors, localities, and step up communication in promoting Vietnam-China relations" Trong stressed.

Liu for his part informed Trong on the outcomes of the CPC Central Committee’s sixth meeting and spoke highly of the significant theme of the 12th theory conference.

He also assured the willingness to share experience with Vietnam in Party building and anti-corruption and augment the cooperation between the communication and media agencies.

"The Party and Government of China want to work hand in hand with Vietnam to enhance the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two nations,"  Liu Qibao said.
