A delegation of the Vietnam Social Insurance Management Council, led by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, and Deputy Minister of Public Security, on September 7 worked with Thanh Hoa province on the implementation of social and health insurance policies in the locality.

The delegation was received by Deputy Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Dinh Xung; head of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Commission for Information and Education Pham Dang Quyen and representatives of relevant agencies.

At the meeting, the delegation of the Vietnam Social Insurance Management Council was briefed on causes leading to the recent deficit of the provincial health insurance fund, the situation of social insurance debts, and other issues related to the implementation of social and health insurance policies in Thanh Hoa province.

The authorities of Thanh Hoa province proposed several solutions to resolve the issues as well as measures to avoid the situation in the coming time.

Concluding the working session, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh urged the Thanh Hoa Province’s leadership to pay more attention to implementing the insurance policies.

He also asked relevant agencies of the province to seriously learn the lessons from the past experiences and strictly handle organizations and individuals that fail to comply with the social insurance and health insurance policies.
