Vietnam hopes for Cambodia’s support for Vietnamese community

Vietnam expects that Cambodia’s authorised agencies and local authorities will work to help the Vietnamese community in the country enjoy their legitimate rights and interests, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Le Hai Binh has stated.

Binh made the statement at the ministry’s regular press conference in Hanoi on September 22 in reply to reporters’ query on the situation of the Vietnamese people in Cambodia. 

“The Party and State are pursuing a consistent policy of paying attention and creating all favourable conditions for overseas Vietnamese so that they can live and integrate well into their host countries,” he said. 

Vietnam’s authorised agencies are working closely with the Cambodian side to ensure the Vietnamese people in Cambodia enjoy convenient living conditions and business environment, he added.
