PSNews – A meeting on preparation for the 39th ASEANAPOL Conference officially opened in Hanoi with the participation of about 20 delegates representing from the ASEANAPOL Secretariat and police forces of Brunei, Cambodia and Vietnam.

The meeting was chaired by Senior Colonel Le Duc Tuyen, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Police Investigation Agency under the Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security. In 2019, Vietnam assumes the presidency of the ASEANAPOL (ASEAN Chiefs of National Police) and hosts all of the ASEANAPOL's activities.

The meeting focused on preparations for the 39th ASEANAPOL Conference, which will take place in Hanoi later this year.  With its careful preparation for the event, Vietnam has demonstrated its high sense of responsibility for ASEANAPOL.

During the meeting, the 39th ASEANAPOL Conference’s Organizing Board briefed the delegates on the preparation for the meeting. The ASEANAPOL Secretariat underlined the important issues while preparing and organizing the 39th ASEANAPOL Conference.

Meanwhile, the Royal Brunei Police’s representative shared their experience in hosting the 38th ASEANAPOL Conference in 2018.

The delegates also discussed their experiences of organizing ASEANAPOL conferences and agreed on the reception protocol, the overall program and the agenda for the 39th ASEANAPOL Conference in Vietnam.

Besides the official meeting, the delegates took a tour to the 39th ASEANAPOL meeting venue in Hanoi.
