Vice Minister of Public Security Bui Van Thanh receives international partners

PSN - On September 20th, Lieutenant General Bui Van Thanh - Vice Minister of Public Security received Mr. Eric Yap - Commissioner of Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), Ministry of Home Affairs of Singapore (MHA) and the delegation of Korea Fire Institute (KFI) leading by Mr. Un-gil Choi, Director of KFI.

At the reception of Mr. Eric Yap, Vice Minister Thanh stressed that Vietnam attached importance to the fire prevention and emergency response in the current age of globalization. He also expressed his hope that the two parties will closely cooperate in this field, accelerating information exchange and experience in building standard system for buildings, industrial parks and residences.

Mr. Thanh also said the two sides should improve quality of equipment system and staffs regarding fire prevention and emergency response. Mr. Eric Yap hoped that the two parties will achieve positive results in the coming time and the relationship between MPS and MHA will be much more developed.

The same day, at the reception of KFI, Vice Minister Thanh spoke that Vietnam is considered as a developing country, therefore, the requirements related to fire prevention and emergency response should be focused.

The two countries should beef-up the effective cooperation in improving quality of fire prevention and emergency response, equipment and curriculum programs for staff. Mr. Un-gil Choi thanked Mr. Thanh for spending time and hoped that the two parties will achieve significant progress in the coming time.
