Third working day of CPV Central Committee’s eighth plenum

The eighth plenum of the 12th Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee had the third working day in Hanoi on October 4.

In the morning, the committee discussed in groups a report reviewing the ten years of the implementation of the Resolution on Vietnam sea strategy until 2020 adopted by the fourth plenum of the 10th CPV Central Committee. 

In the afternoon, committee members continued looking into the report. 

Earlier, the committee reviewed and decided to take disciplinary measures against Nguyen Bac Son, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Party Committee and former Minister of Information and Communications by removing him from the position of member of the Party Central Committee (11th tenure) and Secretary of the Party Committee of the ministry for the 2011-2016 tenure. 

The committee also reviewed and decided to take disciplinary measures against Tran Van Minh, former member of the Party Central Committee, former head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission, former Vice Secretary of the Da Nang City Party’s Committee, former Secretary of the municipal Party Committee and former Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee by expelling him from the CPV.
