Steering Committee 138's inspection team works with Lang Son province

PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Party Central Committee's member, Deputy Minister of Public Security on October 14 led Inspection Team No.1 of the Government’s Steering Committee on Crime Prevention and Fight (Steering Committee 138) to work with Lang Son province's authorities.

Reports at the working session read that, under the direction of the Lang Son Provincial Steering Committee 138, the provincial police force and border guard force have investigated 290 criminal cases, arrested 521 persons involved and seized 108.8 kg of heroin, 4,9 kg and 6,148 pills of synthetic drugs, 475,5 grams of marijuana and 0,831 grams of opium in the first 9 months of 2019.

The forces also coordinated to detect 55 cases of social order violations with 84 involved and handled 175 cases of smuggling and commercial fraud, 55,632 cases of violating traffic order and safety regulations.

The authority of Lang Son province has expanded its cooperation with the Chinese police and border forces in crime prevention and control and obtained numerous positive results, especially in joint attacks on drug-related criminal rings. 

The local authority has also well maintainedsocial order and safety for important projects and establishments and promoted the movement “All people protecting National security”.

On behalf of the Government’s Steering Committee 138, Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong recognized and applauded the achievements in crime prevention and control obtained by the Lang Son authorities in recent times.

Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong urged the Lang Son Provincial Steering Committee 138 to thoroughly grasp the new situation and strictly follow the guidelines and directions of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the Government, the Prime Minister and Government’s Steering Committee 138 on crime prevention and fight in the coming time. 

The Deputy Minister also requested the local agencies, organizations and forces of Lang Son province to seriously implement the Schemes under the Program on crime preventionand control toward 2020 and pay attention to the fight against organizedand dangerous criminal crimes.
