Red carpet reception for Japan’s Emperor and Empress held at Presidential Palace

PSNews-Vietnam’s State President Tran Dai Quang hosted a State-level reception for the Japan’s Emperor and Empress at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi on March 1.

The State-level visit by the Japan’s Emperor and Empress to Vietnam takes place in the context when the Vietnam-Japan extensive strategic partnership has seen comprehensive outcomes in various areas, including politics, economics, security and defence, agriculture and culture.

The official reception for the Japan’s Emperor and Empress was organized at the Presidential Palace at 10:10 am.

Japan’s Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko, who are considered the noble icons of Japan and symbol of the Japanese solidarity bloc, are on their official visit to Vietnam from February 28 to March 3.

Japan’s Emperor and Empress have so far paid official visits only to the foreign nations that have close relations with Japan.

Emperor Akihito has always supported and fostered the bilateral ties between Vietnam and Japan since he took the throne. Vietnam is the 27th foreign country that the Japanese Emperor has ever visited.

After the official reception, State President Tran Dai Quang held talks with the Japanese Emperor and Empress at the Presidential Palace.

Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko later visited and paid flowery tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

During the visit to Vietnam, the Japanese Emperor and Empress will take part in various exchanges, activities and meetings in Hanoi and Hue.
