Public Security Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi elected Chairman of NA Defense and Security Committee

Major General Le Tan Toi, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, was elected as Chairman of the National Assembly's (NA) Committee for Defense and Security.

On the morning of July 21at the NA Hall, under the chair of NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, deputies of the 15

th NA discussed and adopted resolutions on the election of some key positions of the new tenure NA.

 The NA deputies then elected NA Secretary General, Chairman of the NA Council of Ethnic Affairs, State Auditor General, and chairpersons of other NA Committees via the electronic voting system.

Major General Le Tan Toi is among the newly-elected chairpersons of the NA Committees. He was elected as Chairman of the Committee for Defense and Security.

Deputy Minister Major General Le Tan Toi was born on April 4, 1969, in Ca Mau province. He holds a Doctorate in Law.

Major General Toi was appointed asDeputy Minister of Public Security in 2020 and elected as a member of the 13th-tenure Party Central Committee in 2021. He was also a deputy of the 14th and 15th National Assembly.
