Procuracy sector's year-end meeting

President Tran Dai Quang asked the People’s Procuracy sector to efficiently implement Party guidelines and State policies in judicial issues.

In his speech at an annual review meeting in Hanoi on December 28, the President called for the procuracy office’s cooperation with relevant ministries in the drafting of amendments to the Criminal Code 2015 and the revised Law on Anti-Corruption.

He said more communications should be done to mobilize public support in the procurators’ activities and the focus should be on renovating the sector's operations and proposing measures to effectively combat law violations and crimes.

The President also stressed the need to strengthen the apparatus of all-level people’s procuracy agencies in line with regulations of the 2014 Law on the Organisation of People’s Procuracies, and pay attention to the personnel assessment work in the field. 

The conference reviewed the sector’s operations during the year, praising its efforts to ensure the progress and quality of the settlement of criminal cases and improve procurators' professional skills.
