Prime Minister pays Tet visit to Traffic Police Department

On the occasion of the upcoming 78th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Traffic Police Force (February 21, 1946), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security and extended Tet wishes to the entire Traffic Police Force, on the afternoon of February 5.

On the occasion of the upcoming 78th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Traffic Police Force (February 21, 1946), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security and extended Tet wishes to the entire Traffic Police Force, on the afternoon of February 5.

At the meeting with officers and soldiers of the Traffic Police Department, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praised the Traffic Police Force for its work results, saying, the force has achieved many outstanding achievements in ensuring traffic safety and order in the country, contributing to preserving a stable and favorable environment for the country's development, making an important contribution to the country's overall achievements in 2023.

The Prime Minister also showed his empathy for the difficulty and hardship of the People's Public Security Forces in general and the Traffic Police Force in particular, underlining that the Traffic Police Force had spared no effort to ensure traffic order and security, fight crime on routes for peace and safety of the people.

He highlighted several traffic police officers who were injured and died while performing their duties on roads.

The Prime Minister took the chance to send his condolences and deep gratitude to wounded traffic police officers and the families of deceased officers, and requested leaders of the Traffic Police Department to take due care of and implement support policies for the traffic police officers working in difficult circumstances.

Regarding the force’s tasks in the coming time, the Prime Minister requested the Traffic Police Department and the Traffic Police Force to mobilize people and political system to join the force in ensuring traffic order and security, and seriously implement resolutions and instructions of the Secretariat, the Government, the Prime Minister, and the Minister of Public Security on traffic order and safety as well as give relevant agencies advise on revising the Traffic Law and other related laws in order to improve the traffic in the country.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Dragon, the Prime Minister wished that the Traffic Police Force would excellently complete all assigned tasks, always ensure traffic order and safety, contributing to building a civilized, modern, and disciplined society for happiness and peace of the people.
