Press conference on National Scientific Workshop opens

PSNews – The organizing committee for the National Scientific Seminar on the 70th Nation Resistance Day held a press conference on November 21st to introduce its theme “National Resistance – Will to Defend Independence and Freedom, and Historical Lessons”.

The seminar will be co-held by the Ministry of National Defence, the PCC Commission for Information and Education and the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences in celebration of the 70th National Resistance Day (December 19, 1946). 

The event aims to confirm and clarify additional issues including: the sound leadership and direction of the Central Party Committee and President Ho Chi Minh in the preparating for resistance and actively launching the national resistance war against French colonialists.

The great victory of our army and people in the early days of the national resistance showed the will to defend the national independence and freedom; the strength of the people's war, the spirit of national unity; bravery, intelligence, strategic thinking and development of Vietnam's Communist Party military policy and military arts.  

In addition, the seminar will draw lessons and summarize practical experiences, contributing to the Party and State outlining military and defence policies as well as crafting strategies on force building and people’s warfare posture so as to strengthen national defence in the new situation.

As planned, the workshop will be held on November 25th in Hanoi.
