President Tran Dai Quang attends incense offering ceremony at Thang Long Imperial Citadel

PSNews - President Tran Dai Quang has released birds at the 2017 Spring Incense Offering Ceremony of the Thang Long Imperial Citadel.

On the occasion of the lunar New Year of the Rooster, President Tran Dai Quang attended an incense offering ceremony at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel on February 5th.

From early morning, over 300 people gathered at Doan Mon gate of the citadel to carry out the ritual. The incense offering ceremony included various traditional and cultural activities, such as palanquin procession, offering, dragon dance and drum performance.

In the past, the Kings held the spring ceremony to pray for good things, peace and happiness for the nation. In recent years, the Thang Long - Ha Noi Heritage Conservation Center has organized this activity with the aims of paying tribute to Vietnamese ancestors as well as honoring  and promoting the traditional spiritual values of the nation.

After attending the incense offering ceremony, President Tran Dai Quang participated in a special activity - bird releasing ritual with the hope of peace and happiness for the nation.
