President Tran Dai Quang met on June 29 with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev during his ongoing official visit to Russia, which is coincided with the 100th anniversary of the Russian October Revolution.

President Quang said the visit demonstrates Vietnam’s unwavering policy of respecting and prioritizing its comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia. 

Vietnam considers Russia its important, reliable top partner  and praised the bilateral political cooperation, especially the close cooperation between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Russia United Party of Prime Minister Medvedev, he told his host.

The two leaders affirmed their determination to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries and agreed on ways to deepen bilateral ties.
