Efforts have been made to prevent riots, terrorism and abduction, cracked down on crimes, and ensured political stability, security and order.

In his speech at the ceremony, President Quang urged the mobile and special police to effectively foil sabotage schemes of hostile, reactionary forces and criminals and underlined the need to protect security and order amid the complex global and regional situation.

Non-traditional security threats such as natural disasters, epidemics, climate change, environmental pollution and terrorism are developing complicatedly. Organised and trans-national crimes, hi-tech crimes and drug crimes remain issues of public concern, he noted.

The President asked the mobile and special task police to continue close coordination with relevant sides to defeat crimes and hostile forces, stressing that they should reinforce relations with the special task force of other countries in training and information and experience sharing, thereby improving their combat capacity.

On the occasion, the State leader presented the Feat Order (first class) to Special Task Police Battalion.
