Six newly-established special working groups of the Hanoi police department have been fining a number of cases violating COVID-19 prevention measures throughout the capital.

The Hanoi police department establishes six additional special working groups on August 29 in order to inspect the implementation of pandemic control measures across the city ahead of National Day on September 2.

Approximately 10,965 vehicles are checked at 23 checkpoints throughout the capital between August 28 and August 29. Among them, 2,116 vehicles are not permitted to enter the capital due to violating pandemic control measures, whilst 13 cases are fined for going out without a valid reason.
