PM works with Hai Phong local leaders

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc called on the northern city of Hai Phong to create new vitality and fresh confidence for business and investment.

The Government chief made the remark today while working with the local authorities of Hai Phong.

Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee  Le Van Thanh reported that in the first nine months, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) reached a record high of 10.58% since 2010. Export turnover valued over US$ 3.8 billion. FDI attraction touched US$ 2.66 billion, making Hai Phong the largest FDI recipient.

However, the economic boom has put heavy pressure on transport, urban, and socio-economic infrastructure. In addition, the city is also facing budget imbalance and low development-directed investment.
