PM Chinh arrives in Tokyo for official visit to Japan

Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh touched down at Haneda airport in Tokyo on November 22 evening (local time), beginning his official visit to Japan at the invitation of his Japanese counterpart Kishida Fumio.

Those welcoming PM Chinh and his delegation at the airport included Japanese Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Miyake Shingo, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Yamada Takio and Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Vu Hong Nam, among others.

During his three-day visit, PM Chinh is set to hold talks with his Japanese counterpart Kishida Fumio, meet Japanese senior leaders, and witness the signing of a range of cooperation agreements between both nations' businesses.

He is also scheduled to deliver a speech at an investment promotion conference in Japan, have a dialogue with leaders of the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren) and receive leaders of major Japanese firms.

The Vietnamese Government leader is set to visit Tochigi prefecture, where he will receive its Governor Fukuda Tomikazu and attend a Tochigi-Vietnam business forum. 

He will also meet Vietnamese community representatives in Japan to brief them on the implementation of Politburo's Conclusion No.12 on overseas Vietnamese-related affairs and call on them to provide more support for the home country's fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, thus upholding the great national solidarity bloc and strength.
