PM arrives in New York for UN General Assembly’s 73rd session

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc arrived in New York on the morning of September 27 (Vietnam time) to attend the high-level general debate of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly.

The Government leader is accompanied by Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung, Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh, Acting Minister of Information and Telecommunications Nguyen Manh Hung and Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien, among others.

During his stay, PM Phuc will deliver a speech at the high-level general debate at the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly on September 27, and attend a seminar with US businesses on investing in Vietnam amidst the fourth industrial revolution.

On the sidelines of the session, the PM will meet with leaders of the UN General Assembly, and the Secretary-General of the UN. He will hold bilateral meetings with the President of the Council of State of Cuba, the Presidents of Fiji and Croatia, and the Prime Ministers of Saint Lucia and Bulgaria.

The PM will also meet some US friends, members of the Vietnam Permanent Mission to the UN and the Vietnamese community in New York.
