Phu Tho asked to share experience in anti-corruption

Mr. Phan Dinh Trac, Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Party Committee and Chief of the Party’s Commission for Internal Affairs and Vice Head of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-corruption, led a delegation on April 18 to work with Phu Tho province on investigation of high-tech crimes.

Director of the Provincial Police Department of Phu Tho Pham Truong Giang briefed participants in the working session on results of the investigation of a criminal case involving online gambling, illegal property appropriation, illegal trade of invoices and money laundering that the provincial police handled recently. 

The case drew great public concern. Particularly, 150 people involved in the case have been prosecuted and some 2,000 billion Dong was seized. 

Mr. Bui Minh Chau, Secretary of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee, said the leadership of the province always attaches importance to the building of the Party and political system, and the anti-corruption work. 

The leader of the province also asked the Party’s Commission for Internal Affairs to give further directions to the Party organizations, authorities and people of Phu Tho so that the province can improve the effectiveness of the fight against corruption and internal affairs work. 

For his part, Chief of the Party’s Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac praised the efforts of Phu Tho in investigating the case, in which several senior officials were prosecuted, highlighting that the the Party and State are determined to fight against corruption. 

He also asked Phu Tho to share their experience in investigating corruption cases with other provincial police departments.
