Photo exhibition featuring work of media workers opens in Lam Dong

PSNews - On the sidelines of the 38th National Television Festival, a photo exhibition on people working in the television industry was inaugurated on December 20. The photos in display feature special moments of editors, reporters, cameramen when performing their duties.

The organizing board announced that they selected 105 photos from the total 188 entries submitted by media workers nationwide to showcase at the exhibition with the aim of providing audiences with authentic angles the work of media workers who quietly devote their talent and energy to produce meaningful and interesting television programmes.

Reportedly, the organizing board will choose 10 best photos to award at the closing ceremony of the 38th National Television Festival. According to the jury, the television competing in the 38th National Television Festival show the professionalism, talent and effort of television workers in localities across the country.

The exhibition will last until December 22, at the Labor Culture House of Lam Dong Province. Earlier, the 38th National Television Festival officially kicked of in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong’s city of Da Lat, on December 19.

This is a traditional annual activity of the television industry, co-organised by Vietnam Television, Lam Dong Radio and Television Station. The event gathered more than 1,000 delegates from the Radio and Television Station and television production units in the country.

Delivering the opening speech, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam said that in recent time, the media in general and the television in particular have developed vigorously and comprehensively, contributing to the country's development, accompanying the renovation process, as well as national construction and defence.

In particular, he praised that the activities and achievements of the television industry helped strengthen the national unity bloc and promote the image of the country and people of Vietnam in the international arena.

He hoped that in the coming time, with the aim of meeting the increasing demands of the public, the information should be fast, accurate and always carefully oriented, not only politically but also culturally and aesthetically.
