Permanent Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh visits Border Guard Training Center

PSNews – Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh on September 3 visited and worked with the Training Center of the Border Guard High Command, where the former Southern Security Officer Training School was located between 1971 and 1978.

The Deputy PM was accompanied by Mrs. Hoang Thi Thuy, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Tri, Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People’s Committee; Major General Do Danh Vuong, Border Guard Political Commissar as well as  staff members and students of the former Training School.

The compound of the Training Center of the Border Guard High Command, located at Dong Tinh commune, Tam Duong district, Vinh Phuc used to be the former Southern Security Officer Training School during the national struggle against American invasion.

The Training School was founded on October 29, 1971, under a Decision of the Ministry of Public Security.

Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh, a former student of the Training School, and other delegates also took the chance to recall their time at school.

On this occasion, Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh and a charitable mission of the Public Security Newspaper and leaders of Vinh Phuc province presented 100 gifts, worth VND 100 million, to 100 poor students with outstanding academic performances, and VND 300 million to the Training Center in support of the building of a sport complex.
