Permanent Deputy Minister Truong Hoa Binh presents 30 bicycles to needy students

PSNews - The Traditional Communication Board of Border Guard in Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with philanthropists on November 4 held a warm meeting to meet and present scholarship to 131 students who are the next generations of family of needy veterans of Border Guard force living from Binh Dinh to Ca Mau.

This was considered a practical action program of the Traditional Communication Board of Border Guard in Ho Chi Minh City towards the 60th anniversary of its force (March 3, 1959 – 2019) and the 30th anniversary of Border Guard Day (March 3, 1989 – 2019).

The Traditional Communication Board of Border Guard in Ho Chi Minh City received significant supports from philanthropists in donating for comradeship fund, with the aim of presenting scholarship for students who are the next generations of family of needy veterans of Border Guard force as well as hand over gratitude houses to needy veterans.

In addition to a series of activities for veterans, the board in collaboration with medical units annually organize medical check-up for needy people living in border areas, offer free necessary medicines and present gifts on traditional festivals of the country.

At the meeting, on behalf of Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, Senior Colonel Tran Kim Tham, Deputy Chief of Public Security Newspaper presented 30 bicycles to needy students. “Just a small gift but includes a big love, we hope that these gifts play an useful role to help needy students improve knowledge and skills, contributing to develop our country in the future”, he emphasized.
