People's Police University carries out charitable activities in South Central Coast provinces

PSNews - A social charitable mission of the People's Police University led by its Director, Major General, Professor. Dr., People’s Teacher Trinh Van Thanh presented 460 packs of gifts with a total value of 300 million VND to needy families and beneficiary families in Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen, Quang Nam province during their charitable trip from March 19 to 21.

On March 19, the charitable missions made their first stop at Ninh Sim commune, a poor rural area in the west of Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province, which is located near National Highway 26, linking the South Central Coast and the Central Highlands.

In the locality, the mission presented 100 packs of gifts worth 100 million VND in total to local needy households.

Mr. Nguyen Duy, Chairman of the Ninh Sim District People's Committee said that Storm No.12 last year damaged 2,243 hectares of crops and nearly 74 hectares of acacia forest. The rate of poor households is now 3.51% while the rate of nearly-poor households is 4.19%. After the disaster, local people quickly recovered their life and work, thanks to their efforts and supports from the State and many social organizations.

The Ninh Sim district authority and people were really touched by the supports and sentiments of officers and soldiers of the People's Police University.

On March 20, the charitable mission in collaboration with the Phu Yen Provincial Police visited and presented 50 million VND, including 20 million VND from the People's Police University and 30 million VND from the Provincial Police, to Hoa Binh 1 commune, Tay Hoa district as an contribution to to the building of the monument of Heroic Martyr Nguyen Anh Hao.

On same day, the mission also came to Song Hinh, a district neighboring Dak Lak province, and presented 160 packs of gifts worth 80 million VND to needy people residing in the two communes of Ea Lam and Ea Bar.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Lam commune affirmed that the gifts from the People's Police University were a source of encouragement to needy local people, helping them to better understand the work of the Public Security Force so that they will participate more actively in the movement of maintaining local social security and order.

On March 21, the charitable mission of the People's Police University visited and presented 200 packs of gifts with a total values of 100 million VND to needy and beneficiary families residing in Phuoc Tra and Song Tra communes, Hiep Duc district, Quang Nam province.
