The Party leader chaired a meeting of the Politburo on March 21 to discuss the reports of five inspection teams regarding the performance of 15 Party committees and Party organisations in implementing Resolution of the 4th plenum of the 12th Party Central Committee on Party building and the Politburo’s Directive 05 on following the ideology, moral example and lifestyle of President Ho Chi Minh.

He noted that the implementation of the documents has brought about real changes in the awareness and actions of cadres and Party members, contributing to tightening Party discipline and order, producing practical outcomes.

General Secretary Trong said the 15 Party committees and Party organisations selected for inspection represented different areas, regions and sectors. Each of them has undertaken new and innovative methods to help Party cadres and members grasp the importance of the two Party documents. The Party committees and organisations have also implemented result-oriented actions, thus producing substantial and concrete results.

He noted that the performance of the Party committees and organisations has become more even among regions and sectors, which is translated into economic growth and progress in other aspects.

Besides the progress, the Politburo analysed the shortcomings and mistakes of the Party committees and organisations that were revealed in the inspection. They also recommended key tasks to be carried out in the time ahead.
