Party chief welcomes Chinese legislative leader

During his reception in Hanoi on November 9 for Zhang Dejiang, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People’s Congress, General Secretary Trong also proposed the two nations improve the quality and efficiency of investment projects and further boost exchanges and cooperative ties between sectors, localities and people from all walks of life, especially young generations.

The Party chief also urged the two sides to work together to control differences on the basis of mutual respect for each other’s interests and international law, and maintain peace, stability and development trend of bilateral relations.

He also spoke highly of the outcomes of earlier talks and meetings between Zhang and Vietnamese leaders, saying that the ongoing visit will help strengthen political trust, friendship and cooperation between the two countries in the years to come.

Zhang informed his host about the results of the newly-ended 6th meeting of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and affirmed that the Chinese Party and Government always attach importance to and will persistently develop fine relations with Vietnam.

The Chinese leader expressed his wish that the two sides will increase their political trust, share experience, connect development strategies, further promote economic cooperation and boost the education and information work to fortify the social foundation for the development of the China-Vietnam friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
