During his working trip to Ninh Binh, Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security General To Lam, leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, had a meeting with the Standing Board of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, on February 19.

According to reports delivered at the meeting, the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee successfully led relevant local agencies to ensure security and order in the province, and build the local police force while seriously and effectively implementing the policies of the Central Government and Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo on stepping up the building of truly pure, strong, regular, elite and modern People's Public Security Forces to meet the task requirements of the forces in the new situation.

The Provincial Party Committee also directed local agencies to appropriately allocate resources to the local police to implement their tasks and to build the local police force, particularly the commune-level police force.

Meanwhile, the local police force proactively grasped the order and security situation in the province and promptly advised the local Party committees and authorities to properly address issues related to security and order, while successfully fulfilling its main task of ensuring security and social safety, especially rural security and religious security, in the province.

During 2023, the local police stepped up prevention and fight against all types of crime and law violations, as well as effectively implemented Project No. 06 on enhancing the application of population data, electronic identification and authentication to national digital transformation in the period 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Minister To Lam praised the Party committee, government and people of Ninh Binh province for their large achievements in recent times.

Regarding their task of promoting local socio-economic development, Minister To Lam proposed that the Standing Committee of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee should focus on industrial development, attract investment, and promote tourism and services.

The minister also suggested tapping local strengths as well as available material and human resources for build local socio-economic development while taking due care of the implementation of Project No. 06 of the Government, striving for hunger eradication and poverty reduction, and effectively executing social security policies.

Minister To Lam also requested the local police to attach much importance to ensuring security and order in the province, reduce the rate of criminal cases and law violations, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of State management of security and order, associated with the building of the “All people protect national security” movement.
