NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue begins India visit

Chairman of the Vietnam Nation Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue arrived in New Delhi on December 15, beginning a four-day official visit to India at the invitations of leaders of both houses of the parliament.

He then met officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community in India.

The top legislator noted that the Vietnam-India comprehensive strategic partnership has constantly developed positively in various areas, achieving high efficiency and reliability. He said his visit is to deepen the partnership and strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

He also affirmed that overseas Vietnamese is an indispensable part and a resource of Vietnam.

During the visit, Hue will hold talks with Speaker of the Lok Sabha (House of Representatives) Om Birla, and meet Chairman of the Rajya Sabha (Upper House) Venkaiah Naidu, as well as other ranking officials.

He will attend a ceremony to celebrate five years of the Vietnam – India comprehensive strategic partnership, visit a photo exhibition marking 50 years of the Vietnam – India relationship, and receive leaders of friendship associations.

He will also attend a joint business forum, receive business representatives, and visit Kerala state.
