MPS and MOLISA sign cooperation agreement

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs on July 25 signed a coordination agreement in various fields.

Under the agreement, the two ministries will closely coordinate with each other in protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, preventing and controlling crimes, as well as in the field of developing labor force, caring for national contributors and implementing social policies.

General To Lam, Minister of Public Security and Mr. Dao Ngoc Dung, Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, co-chaired the event.

In recent years, the two ministries have effectively coordinated in various working aspects. Particularly, the two ministries coordinated in making a general report on the implementation of the Law on Drug Prevention and Control, building the Law on Entry and Exit of Vietnamese citizens, issuing various joint circulars guiding the implementation of the Laws and Decrees on social insurance, unemployment insurance, and making a list of heavy, hazardous and dangerous occupations of the Public Security Forces.

Additionally, the two ministries launched hotlines of prevention and combat of human trafficking in the 2019-2021 period, exchanged information about human trafficking, and coordinated in handling acts of violence and abuse against children, human trafficking.

The two ministers signed the coordination agreement between the two ministries.

The agreement serves an important foundation for the two ministries to further coordinate in other fields, particularly in protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, preventing and controlling crimes as well as in implementing various social affairs.

On this occasion, on behalf of the MPS, Minister To Lam presented “National Security Protection” Medals to leaders of the MOLISA, who had made large contributions to the cause of national security protection. Minister Dao Ngoc Dung also presented the “For the cause of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs” to leaders of the MPS with outstanding achievements.
