He was also asked about measures to address negative phenomena in school such as student violence, and improve training quality in ethnic minority areas, among others.

In the afternoon, Minister of Home Affairs Le Vinh Tan took the floor, fielding questions on streamlining the contingent of State workers, the holding of examination to select OK9 Cabidates for managerial positions in administrative agencies, and solutions to recruit talents for the State apparatus.

He was also required to clarify the ministry’s responsibility for the massive promotion of officials immediately before the end of the government’s tenure, the promotion of officials that did not conform to set standards and procedures during the past time.

NA deputies also wanted to know the ministry’s viewpoint on administrative sanctions on former Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang, along with orientations for revising related laws and legal documents to ensure that retired officials cannot escape punishment for their law violations during their time in office.

Reforms in salary system and the appointment of officials were also among issues of NA deputies’ concern.

The hearing will continue on November 17 with the Prime Minister slated to go before the NA in the morning.
