The 20 married couples are Military Hospital 175’s doctors, nurses and medical staff who had to put off their weddings for many months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the fourth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam, many medical personnel of Military Hospital 175 had to set aside their own happiness, even suspend their weddings to volunteer to work in the pandemic front-line to take care of the people’s health.

To pay gratitude to those who have wholeheartedly contributed to the hospital’s and the city’s pandemic prevention and control efforts, the hospital decided to hold the mass wedding ceremony for its doctors, nurses and medical workers. The ceremony took place in a cozy atmosphere with the attendance of leaders at all levels and their families.

The organizers also held an artistic program, themed “Pulse of life,” to honor doctors and medical staff involved in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Along with artistic performances, the program also introduced unique collections of the Ao dai (traditional long dress of the Vietnamese people) by designer Minh Hanh.
