Korean Business Delegation Explores Investment Opportunities in Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong

From June 7 to 9, a delegation of 35 Korean companies and member units of the Vietnam–Korea Business & Investment Association (VKBIA) conducted an investment survey across key economic areas in Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong provinces. The visit aimed to enhance bilateral economic cooperation and identify new areas for partnership.

Boosting Investment, Trade, and Tourism Cooperation

In Khanh Hoa, the delegation participated in major activities held in conjunction with the 2025 Sea Culture and Tourism Festival. They also held official meetings with the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, visited Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Company, Pacific Ocean University, and surveyed Van Phong Economic Zone along with other potential investment sites related to tourism development.

Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Nghiem Xuan Thanh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Huu Hoang, Gyeonggi Provincial Congressman (Korea) Jung Dong Hyeok, VKBIA Chairman Tran Hai Linh and delegates attended the meeting.

As part of the program, the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee and VKBIA jointly hosted an Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Conference with the participation of nearly 200 Vietnamese and Korean enterprises. Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Huu Hoang emphasized the province's commitment to attracting investment in high-potential sectors for Korea–Vietnam cooperation, including economic zones, high-tech industrial parks, information technology, software development, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, agro-seafood processing, seaport infrastructure, logistics, renewable energy, and sustainable tourism.

Khanh Hoa authorities pledged to provide the most favorable conditions for Korean investors, from infrastructure and preferential policies to administrative support, ensuring the success of investment projects in the province.

VKBIA and Khanh Hoa Young Entrepreneurs Association signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation to promote tourism development.

On this occasion, VKBIA and the Khanh Hoa Young Entrepreneurs Association signed a memorandum of understanding to promote tourism development, trade exchange, and the introduction of products between member businesses. Thai Binh Duong University and VKBIA also signed a strategic cooperation agreement focusing on education, training, high-quality workforce development, and employment promotion.

Impressed by the province’s socio-economic development potential, the VKBIA Chairman affirmed that he would continue to connect Korean enterprises to explore, cooperate, and invest in Khanh Hoa; while hoping to receive support from the provincial government when international investors and Korean enterprises come to invest in the province. Specifically, they hope the province will establish some mechanisms and policies to support Korean enterprises when merging the two provinces of Khanh Hoa - Ninh Thuan; simplify administrative procedures, create an open investment and business environment; build and upgrade logistics infrastructure and more modern digital infrastructure; have vocational training programs, specialized skills, and Korean language training for the local workforce to meet the needs of enterprises...

Five MOUs Signed to Promote Cultural and Tourism Cooperation in Lam Dong

Earlier, from June 5 to 7, the VKBIA delegation visited Lam Dong province, where they co-hosted a seminar on cultural connection and tourism cooperation between Lam Dong and Korean partners. Five memoranda of understanding were signed to promote bilateral collaboration in tourism and cultural exchange.

The VKBIA delegation’s investment survey in Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong marks a significant step in transforming cooperation commitments into concrete actions and fostering meaningful engagement between Vietnamese localities and strategic partners from Korea.
