Karl Marx’s great thoughts with Vietnam’s revolution

President Tran Dai Quang has praised the contribution by Karl Marx in global workers’ and laborers’ revolution in his writing to mark Marx’s 200th birthday on May 5.

President Quang highlighted the importance of Marxism-Leninism in Vietnam’s patriotism, national independence and socialism. 

The Communist Party of Vietnam upholds its revolutionary nature of the working class and creatively pursuance of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thoughts.

Vietnam’s revolutionary over the past 88 years is a convincing and vivid demonstration of the sustainable value of Marxism-Leninism.

To mark the event, Ho Chi Minh City has hosted a scientific workshop entitled “Karl Marx and contemporary history” featuring revolutionary values of Karl Marx’s ideology and its significance to the Vietnamese revolution. 

Delegates said that President Ho Chi Minh creatively and successfully employed and developed Marxism-Leninism to suit Vietnam ’s situation. Director of the Political Theory Center of Ho Chi Minh City’s National University, Dr Dinh Ngoc Thanh said, “To ensure firm foothold of Marxism in Vietnam, we should recall Nguyen Ai Quoc’s statement in 1924 to strengthen Marxism by Oritental ethnology, including local research on people, history, culture, custom without full copy in Vietnamese context”.
