HCM City leaders commemorate President Ho Chi Minh on birth anniversary

A delegation of senior officials of Ho Chi Minh City on May 19 offered incense and flowers at the Ho Chi Minh Museum’s city branch and Ho Chi Minh Statue in the southern city on the occasion of the late leader’s 128th birth anniversary (May 19, 1890).

The delegation, led by Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam, Vice Secretary of the municipal Party Committee and Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Council, included leaders of the municipal Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Former Party and State leaders, representatives from departments, sectors and localities, and local people also joined the event. 

They took a moment to remember the life and career of the late President, who devoted his life to national liberation and worked tirelessly for peace and progress across the world.

On the occasion, individuals, organisations and agencies in Ho Chi Minh City paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Museum’s city branch and his statue.

Earlier, Party, State and Vietnam Fatherland Front leaders and Hanoi senior officials paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi on May 18.
