Hanoians to join Tet’s firework party in 31 places

Chairman of the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said that Hanoians and visitors will have opportunities to join Tet’s firework party in 31 place.

High-altitude fireworks will be displayed at nine venues in Hoan Kiem Lake (Hoan Kiem district), southeast Ngoc Khanh Lake (Ba Dinh district), Hoang Cau Lake (Dong Da district), Thong Nhat Park (Hai Ba Trung district), Lac Long Quan Garden (Tay Ho district), Van Quan Lake (Ha Dong district), My Dinh National Sports Complex (Nam Tu Liem district), Vinhomes Riverside Ecological Urban Area (Long Bien district) and Son Tay ancient citadel (Son Tay town).

Meanwhile, low-altitude fireworks will be set off in 22 districts like Long Bien, Cau Giay, Hoang Mai, Thanh Xuan, Bac Tu Liem, Gia Lam, Dong Anh and Soc Son. The fireworks will be on show in 15 minutes.

Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said that the Hanoi High Command should consider increasing the time for the firework display at Hoan Kiem Lake area to 20-30 minutes. 

The Hanoi High Command is ordered to join hands with relevant authorities to organise the firework shows. The Department of Culture and Sports is in charge of holding art performances at the fireworks sites. Meanwhile, the municipal police have the responsibility of ensuring social order and traffic safety.
