The meeting saw the presence of various high-ranking officials, including Head of the Central Organisation Commission Le Minh Hung; Head of the Central Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac; Standing Member of the Subcommittee on Documents for the 14th National Party Congress Nguyen Van Nen; Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang; Head of the Central Commission for Communication, Education and Mass Mobilization Trinh Van Quyet; Chief of the Office of the Party Central Committee Pham Gia Tuc; Assistant to the General Secretary To An Xo; and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen.

Also present at the meeting were 70 exemplary officers representing the Grassroots Security and Order Support Force nationwide.

After more than one year, over 86,000 grassroots security protection teams have been established with more than 276,000 members. The force has effectively been supporting communal police forces in ensuring security and order.

On behalf of the Party and State leadership, Party General Secretary To Lam highly commended the 70 outstanding collectives and individuals for their exemplary dedication and achievements in protecting security and order at the grassroots level.

The General Secretary emphasized that these positive results had demonstrated the Party’s sound and timely policy on establishing the Grassroots Security and Order Support Force, considering grassroots security as the foundation for building a disciplined, orderly and safe society.

He urged the Ministry of Public Security to continue providing professional and legal training, regularly review and equip grassroots security protection teams with adequate support tools so that they can perform their duties effectively.

The General Secretary also called on the Grassroots Security and Order Support Force to actively advise local authorities to maintain security and order, promptly resolve conflicts and grievances, and strengthen solidarity, compassion and community cohesion among the people.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security, the Public Security Forces, the Grassroots Security and Order Support Force and all exemplary individuals, Minister Luong Tam Quang promised that the Ministry of Public Security will thoroughly and effectively implement all the General Secretary’s instructions.

He said that the Ministry of Public Security would continue close coordination with Party committees and local authorities to build a strong, capable and trustworthy Grassroots Security and Order Support Force, significantly contributing to national stability and the people’s well-being.
