The event was organised by FLC Group and Bamboo Airways in co-operation with the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany and the Consulate General of Vietnam in Frankfurt. The occasion draw the participation of roughly 300 guests, including the Chargé d'affaires of the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany, the Consul General, the Chairman of FLC Group, along with various other Vietnamese business leaders.

In his address, Dang Chung Thuy, Chargé d'Affaires of the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany, highlighted Germany as the nation’s number one trading partner in the EU, with the country also representing Germany's largest trading partner in Southeast Asia.

This achievement can be attributable to both governments’ efforts and strong desire to enhance business connectivity and co-operation. Many large corporations based in Vietnam have remained active in promoting connectivity and co-operation, thereby meeting the strict requirements of the German and EU markets, with FLC Group being a typical point in case.

Along with five-star tourism infrastructure projects, FLC is in the process of expanding its positive influence thanks to the connection of Bamboo Airways.

Bamboo Airways, the nation’s first private airline, has outlined its orientations to offer a five-star quality since its establishment, with the firm affirming its position on the journey to becoming one of the airlines with the best service in the country.

Thuy expects the investment promotion forum to be an open opportunity for the business communities of the two countries to realise investment co-operation opportunities, especially in promising sectors such as aviation, tourism, golf, and resort real estate.

Discussing why Germany was chosen as the first destination for a series of international promotional events this year, Trinh Van Quyet, chairman of FLC Group, said that FLC has been making every effort to participate in the process of attracting foreign investment, with Germany being one of the leading markets FLC is targeting in Europe.

"Bamboo Airways has connected Vietnam with Germany's largest airport, Frankfurt. We greatly expect to continue rapidly expanding the flight network to many other major German cities, making Germany become one of FLC's key markets in Europe," Quyet affirmed.

With regard to co-operation opportunities with German businesses in areas of strength, Dang Tat Thang, vice chairman of FLC Group and general director of Bamboo Airways said that in the aviation industry Germany is one of the countries that has the most advanced technology in the world. This is in line with Bamboo Airways' comprehensive digital transformation orientation moving forward.

The airline also aspires to co-operate alongside German airlines to promote combined activities, stimulate demand to open many new routes, while simultaneously associating with tourism corporations, business partners, and German organisations with economic relations with Vietnam. This is being done in order to create momentum for developing Bamboo Airways' regular commercial routes connecting Germany, as well as the rest of Europe, in the future.

Along with aviation, many high-end products in the fields of golf and resort real estate of the FLC ecosystem also capture the attention of German investors amid tourists from this market increasingly keen on Vietnamese tourism.

Within the framework of the event Bamboo Airways signed three co-operation agreements with strategic partners in Germany.

It is therefore expected that right after the forum, Bamboo Airways will continue to sign a co-operation agreement with aircraft engineering and maintenance company Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) on engine support and repair services for Bamboo Airways’ fleet.

Once completed, the agreements will serve as a solid foundation for Bamboo Airways in improving its overall service quality and promoting strong operations in the German market in particular and Europe in general.

FLC's investment promotion week in Germany is the premise for a wide range of international promotion activities that will continue to be promoted by the group over the coming year.
