The establishment and development of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) in the past nine decades are featured at an exhibition that opened in the northern mountainous province of Son La on January 16.

The month-long event, held by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, aims to celebrate the 90th founding anniversary of the Party (February 3, 1930-2020).

On display are more than 200 photos and documents highlighting the country’s historical events since the establishment of the CPV as well as the development of the provincial Party Committee through different stages.

The same day, the Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum opened the exhibition “An eternal spring” in Hanoi to mark the CPV’s 90th founding anniversary and welcome the traditional Lunar New Year 2020.

Fifty nine art works were created in various materials like lacquer, oil, silk, watercolour, and sculpture by 54 renowned artists such as Tran Van Can, Bui Xuan Phai, Tran Luu Hau and Nguyen Luong Tieu Bach, among others. They reflect the country’s significant achievements in the fight for national independence, as well as historical sites associated with the CPV and Uncle Ho.

The exhibition offers free entry for the public in the capital city, and will run until December 28 at the Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum, No.66 Nguyen Thai Hoc street.

While in Vinh Phuc province, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism joined hands with the provincial People’s Committee to organize an exhibition introducing 160 propaganda posters on the significance of the CPV establishment and the glorious tradition of the Party in the past 90 years.

The exhibits were selected from 365 placards created by 289 professional and amateur artists from 46 cities and provinces across the nation.
