Drug dealer arrested in the act of carrying nearly 6,000 drug pills

PSNews – The Dong Hoi Municipal Police on June 8 caught Le Ngoc Son, residing in Dong Hoi city, Quang Binh province red-handed, carrying nearly 6,000 pink drug pills, when he was dealing with his partners near a weighing station near Dong Hoi city.

On the afternoon of June 9, the Quang Binh Provincial People Committee held a ceremony to praise and reward the Quang Binh Provincial Police for their victory, successfully destroying the drug trafficking ring, arresting 3 drug dealers, seizing near 6,000 pills of synthetic drugs and 293 million VND in cash.

According to police’s records, at 2 am on March 23, the Quang Binh Provincial Police’s Drug Crime Investigation Sub-Department (PC47) arrested Vo Van Son (32), residing in Diem Loi commune, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province, when he was illegally transporting a heroin cake weighing more than 347g and some other exhibits relating to the case.

After 2 months of investigation, PC47 identified that Le Ngoc Son (43) was the leader of the ring, with Vo Van Son as a member, that transported drugs from Nghe An province to Quang Binh province for consumption.

The police force then arrested the drug chieftain - Le Ngoc Son on June 8 with nearly 6,000 pink drug pills when he had just bought the drug pills from his partners at a weighing station area near Dong Hoi city.

At the same time, a task force group of the Quang Binh Police’s PC47 was laying an ambush at a toll fee station on the National Highway 1A section, passing through Quang Phu commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh. The police force stopped the car, numbered 37A-09912, and arrested 2 other suspects, named Nguyen Quang Truong, 40, residing in Hieu Son commune, Do Luong district, Nghe An province and Nguyen The Anh (31), residing in Nghi Kim, Vinh city, Nghe An province.

Truong and Anh were suspected to be the sellers of the above mentioned drug pills.

The police then checked the suspects’ vehicle and seized 292.9 million VND. At the police office, the suspects pleaded guilty, saying that the money was earned from the drug transaction with Son.

At the irregular award ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Huu Hoai, Chairman of the Quang Binh People's Committee praised the drug case investigation group.
