Vietnam’s digital economy will be beneficial from strengthening safety and security measures for online services through modernizing its digital infrastructure with international cooperation, such as with Israel. This was an analysis at the seminar "Israel's Network Resilience: Innovations Against Emerging Threats", organized in Hanoi in mid-August by the Embassy of Israel in Vietnam – Economic and Trade Office – Foreign Trade Administration, Ministry of Economy and Industry of Israel, in collaboration with the Israel Export Institute.

At the workshop, Israeli cybersecurity companies also discussed and shared cooperation opportunities with Vietnamese government agencies and companies in monitoring threats, minimizing risks and controlling cyberspace systems.

Anticipating the wave of increasing network and information security needs in Vietnam, eight major Israeli cybersecurity companies introduced solutions, including vulnerability patching, AI-enhanced security for IoT and OT devices, cybersecurity infrastructure consulting, cybersecurity operations platforms, encryption, digital impersonation prevention, comprehensive protection, and Dark Web monitoring.

The growing demand comes as Vietnam is implementing Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, and national digital transformation. According to the National Cybersecurity Association, 46.15% of Vietnamese agencies and enterprises experienced cyberattacks in 2024, with 6.77% being attacked frequently.

A large number of Vietnamese companies from various sectors such as IT, banking, and digital products engaged directly with the Israeli firms to explore solutions. This provided Vietnamese companies the opportunity to access not only end products but also management and operational approaches.

This program is part of cooperation between the two countries under the Vietnam–Israel Free Trade Agreement, aimed at boosting economic–trade–technology cooperation, especially in the field of cybersecurity – one of Israel’s strategic strengths.
