The announcement was made by deputy chief of the Party Central Committee Office Le Quang Vinh at a press conference on the outcomes of the Party Central Committee’s eighth session in Hanoi on October 6.

Vinh said that the work is organised regularly in the third year of a tenure, and after the confidence vote is conducted on positions elected or approved by the National Assembly and all-level People’s Councils.

At the press conference, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha answered reporters’ queries related to the resolution on the strategy on sustainable development of the marine economy to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

According to him, the goal of sustainable development is to harmonise economic development with ensuring social welfare and protecting the environment.

The resolution has new ideas, setting targets for five years to effectively ensure sea-based economic development and protect the maritime environment.

Agreeing on the necessity of issuing regulations on the responsibility for setting example of Party members and officials, especially members of the Party Central Committee’s Politburo and Secretariat and the Party Central Committee, Ha stressed the need to build criteria suitable for each specific title and position.
