Earlier from September 25, the Central Steering Committee on Anti-corruption’s Working Group had worked with the Kon Tum provincial authorities.

According to the draft report of the working group, over the past time, the  Kon Tum Provincial Party Committee has thoroughly grasped and implemented documents of the Party and the State on anti-corruption, thereby contributing to raising awareness and sense of responsibility of Party committees, authorities, officials and Party members in fighting corruption and building the Party.

The dissemination and education on anti-corruption laws have also been enhanced. Local Party committees at all levels took various preventive measures against corruption in line with the Party's regulations, the State's policies and laws. These measures included stepping up administrative reforms, making the budget allocation, use of resources, equipment procurement public and transparent, publicizing cadres’ asset lists and their incomes.

Particularly, the provincial authorities of Kon Tum have promoted inspection and self-inspection. As a result, competent agencies promptly detected and strictly handled several violations committed by local officials, of who some were disciplined by Party organizations. A few cases were transferred to the police for investigation.

To conclude the meeting, Minister To Lam spoke highly of the efforts made by the local Party Committees, authorities and armed forces as well as the people of all ethnic groups in Kon Tum province.

Minister To Lam suggested the Kon Tum Provincial Party Committee promote dissemination and implementation of the resolutions and directives of the Politburo, the Party General Secretary, the State President and the Steering Committee on Anti-corruption, contributing to cementing solidarity and consensus among local people.
