Central Military Commission mulls over upcoming defence work

The Central Military Commission held a meeting in Hanoi on April 10 to review the implementation of military and defence tasks and discuss the focus of this work in the time ahead.

Other participants included President Tran Dai Quang – a member of the commission’s standing committee, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc – a member of the commission’s standing committee, and Defence Minister General Ngo Xuan Lich – Vice Secretary of the commission.

After assessing the outcomes of recent military and defence-related activities, the commission considered directions for and specified the focus of relevant work in the coming time so as to improve the army’s combined strength and combat readiness, thus meeting the national protection demand in the new context.
