After leaving Hanoi, the coffin of former Pformer Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee, former Chairman of the Council of Ministers (now Prime Minister) of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, former Advisor of the Party Central Committee Do Muoi arrived in his hometown in Dong My commune, Thanh Tri district, Hanoi. At 1:30p.m on October 7, the burial ceremony for former Party General Secretary Do Muoi began.

Earlier, on the day's morning, memorial services for former Party General Secretary Do Muoi were held at the National Funeral Hall in Hanoi and Thong Nhat Hall in Ho Chi Minh City.
