Building NPA of regional and world standard

Hanoi - Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat, on September 19th led a delegation from the Party Central Committee to work with key officers of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (NPA).

During the working meeting, representatives from the delegation focused on analysing existing problems and presenting solutions to deal with difficulties and challenges in terms of renewing training programs and contents, increasing the quality of theoretical and scientific study; and giving orientations in the development of the academy in the 2016-2020 period with a vision until 2030.

Addressing the meeting, Dinh The Huynh suggested that the Academy should reach a consensus on carrying out basic orientations for continued development. “Firstly, the position of the NPA should be reinforced as a high-ranking school of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, one of the central agency of the Party and the only national centre to train leading cadres and managers for the whole political system,” he said.

“The Academy should build up its high-ranking theoretical training program that no other training foundations have.”

He also urged the Academy to accelerate scientific study to both increase the quality of training and provide scientific and factual grounds for the Party and State in making guidelines and strategies.

Noting that human resources are a decisive factor for work quality, Mr. Huynh stressed that the Academy’s cadres should be high quality in political qualifications, ideology, morality and lifestyle, while having high professionalism and enough experience to work in a modern technical conditions.

He asked central and Hanoi agencies to make favourable conditions for the NPA to address obstacles to develop it into a regional and world standard centre for scientific training and study
