ASEAN countries agree to develop common rules for cyber security

PSNews-The second ASEAN Ministerial Conference on Cyber-security (AMCC) and the 2017 Singapore International Cyber ​​Week were held in Singapore from September 18 to 21, according to the International Cooperation Department under the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC).

  • 2nd Singapore International Cyber Week opens

The delegation of the MIC led by Vice Minister Nguyen Thanh Hung attended the working sessions and activities within the framework of the events.

The second AMCC discussed cooperation initiatives among ASEAN countries including their coordination in policy-making, capacity building, and standards and principles related to cyber safety and security.

AMCC is also a forum for ASEAN countries to discuss in more detail the joint programs to promote regional coordination to address growing threats; support the building of a voluntary set of rules and standards on network security for ASEAN countries on the basis of the development of each country in order to build trust among the parties.
