Art performance in celebration of 72nd founding anniversary of Public Security Newspaper held

PSNews – On the occasion of the 72nd founding anniversary of the Public Security Newspaper, an art performance named “Keep the sacred swear” took place on November 24 at Au Co Art Center (Hanoi) and was televised live on ANTV.

Present at the art performance were Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Mai Duc Loc, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association; Major General Mai Van Ha, Director of the Communications Department of Public Security and representatives of other ministries, branches as well as various generations of journalists. 

Delivering the opening speech, Major General Pham Van Mien, Editor in Chief of the Public Security Newspaper expressed gratitude to leaders of Ministry of Public Security (MPS), formers leaders of Public Security Newspaper, journalists for their great and effective supports for the establishmnet and development of the Public Security Newspaper.

General Mien also thanked all delegates and audiences for participating in the event as well as sharing happiness with officers, soldiers and reporters of the Public Security Newspaper on this significant occasion.

He stated that 72 years ago (November 1, 1946), the Cong An Moi Newspaper (New Police Newspaper), the precursor of the Public Security Newspaper, published its first issue nationwide.

The birth of the Cong An Moi affirmed the position of the press  organ as the voice of MPS, as well as reflected the foresight of MPS's leaders at that time on the important role of communication and information in general, as well as the role of the Public Security Newspaper in particular in the revolutionary career of the Party, the Fatherland and the development process of the Public Security Forces.

He added that although it undertook different missions at each revolutionary stage, the Public Security Newspaper has always included itself in the flow of the revolutionary press, contributing to the successes in national liberation, unification and socialism building.

Leaders, reporters and workers of the Public Security Newspaper have always grasped the viewpoint of the revolutionary press under the leadership of the Party, and heightened their political stance, taking each article as a sharp weapon in protecting the Party, the revolution as well as in building the Public Security Forces.

The art performance "Keep the sacred swear" aimed to review the 72-year history of building and development of the Public Security Newspaper, associated closely with the constant development of the Public Security Forces.

Attending the event, audiences got chance to enjoyed various meaningful songs such as songs in praise fo Uncle Ho, the Public Security Forces, the country and Vietnamese people.

At the event, audiences got chance to further understand about the process of establishment and development of the Public Security Newspaper through documentary footages as well as enjoyed various meaningful songs such as songs in praise fo Uncle Ho, the Public Security Forces, the country and Vietnamese people.

Particularly, on this occasion, the Public Security Newspaper presented gifts to 15 formers leaders and relatives of formers leaders who made great contributions to the newspaper’s development as well as to the Department of Information and Communications under the Ministry of Public Security. 

This art program was sponsored by PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation, Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, Agribank, Vietnam National Petroleum Group,  and Vietinbank.
