APEC Economic Leaders' Week opens in Da Nang

The APEC Economic Leaders’ Week (AELW) under the theme “Creating New Dynamism, Fostering a Shared Future" openned on Monday in the central city of Da Nang.

Key events include APEC concluding senior officials’ meeting (November 6-7), Viet Nam Business Summit (November 7), APEC Ministerial Meeting (November 8), APEC CEO Summit (November 8-10), ABAC Dialogue with ASEAN Leaders, Informal Dialogue with ASEAN Leaders, Official Welcome for APEC Leaders and Spouses, and Gala Dinner and Cultural Performance (November 10).

The Week will culminated in the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting (AELM) and the AELM Chair’s Press Conference on November 11.

State President Tran Dai Quang will host AELW's key events, including the 25th APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting (AELM), the AELM Gala Dinner and Cultural Performance, the ABAC Dialogue with APEC Economic Leaders, and the APEC - ASEAN Informal Dialogue on 10 - 11 November.

He will also deliver a keynote speech at the APEC CEO Summit, which is held from 08 - 10 November.

The President's spouse, Madam Nguyen Thi Hien, will host the Leaders' Spouse Program in Hoi An, Quang Nam and Da Nang on 11 November.

Meanwhile, Vietnamese PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc is expected to attend and deliver a keynote address at the Viet Nam Business Summit.

Vietnamese Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh together with Minister of Industry and Trade H.E. Tran Tuan Anh will chair the 29th APEC Ministerial Meeting on November 8.

The 2017 APEC SOM Chair, Vietnamese Permanent Deputy FM Bui Thanh Son will chair the CSOM on November 6-7.

On this occasion, the ABAC Meeting from November 4-6, and APEC Voices of the Future from November 6–10, will also be held.
